Unknown Joe is the musical alias of Norwegian singer/songwriter Erik Fossen, an obvious fan of Neil Young, Wilco, Bob Dylan and more. Together with his trusted band, The Happy Pants, he's been gigging around the Bergen area since 2002. Their debut album, "My Secret Lookalike", was released by Galant Records in 2004. Several lazy, yet lively years later, the follow-up was finally finished. "Everyone Is A Loan" is a noisier, more ragged and muscular record, with a few quiet moments thrown in. This varied album contains everything from indie guitar rock and sixties-inspired pop to country, soul and a some crazy horsing around.
